I told you life was hectic!!

WOW!!

My last post was June. I can believe it has been 8 months already since we sold our house. The new one is well under way. The inside is mostly complete. I can't wait until the ground thaws so we can plant some grass. The fall was so damp that we were not able to get our yardwork done. All in good time I suppose. The last several months have flown by.

We sold out house in June and moved in with my brother and his wife in July. We survived!! They survived!! We still talk occasionally ; ). We moved into our house on a hill in September, the weekend that they finished our septic system. Since moving in we have renovated a bathroom, installed new windows, completed the kitchen, installed a new central air system and ductwork, painted the outside of the house, put up new gutters, soffit and facia, put up new shutters and completed several rooms of the house. The upstairs bathroom and some finishing trim work is about all that is left on the inside. It has been a project!

We also bought a new car two weeks ago. It is a Kia Rondo, a 7 passenger crossover. So far we like it, it gets about 10 mpg better in the city than our jeep did. It will actually save us about $100 a month in fuel. Well worth the money if you ask me. I think I finally convinced Rebekah that it was a good decision.

Here is a picture of a Rondo, ours is black....

Oh, one more thing.... This is a picture someone at work sent me. It is what I would call a "think outside the box" picture. I got a kick out of it!!

Life is going to be hectic for a while!

After only one day of being for sale, our first home on 12th st has sold. What an answer to prayer. God sure can surpass our expectations, I had prayed that it would sell within two months, I think God answered my prayer.

What an emotional roller coaster. I never thought that I would feel the way I do about a house, it is more than a house, it was our home. I went from feeling so happy, to almost depressed. The reality has been setting in today. I have 30 days to get our house on a hill finished. I might as well move out there now, because I am going to be spending every waking moment there. I am going to need more grace than ever this month.
